CHRISTMAS HOUSE

Hello! Below we serve a small dose of inspiration on how to decorate the cardboard house KOKO CARDBOARDS, which just appeared in our offer, in a new - smaller size! This holiday season you can buy it with an extra mini "surprise" kit which will help you to complete the project below. Use colorful papers to add color to the walls and floors of your cottage. A big advantage of our house is that by using a thin nail or a thick needle you can very easily make small holes in it, which will allow you to mount additional decorations, such as garlands. You can really make Christmas decorations out of everything! See for yourself! We used two paper straws and hot glued mini baubles to create cute Christmas poles. An indispensable element of the Christmas house, of course, will be Christmas lights, we recommend subtle led's on a wire. We will also use string rolls to make little dolls. Matte ribbons and wooden beads - always welcome! Voila! If you're wondering how to incorporate this holiday activity into the run-up to Christmas, we heartily recommend it as a gift for Santa, or as the "star" of your advent calendar. Consider this project as one of the main holiday activities you will do with your child during the period of creating Christmas atmosphere. We wish you a wonderful time. If you feel like sharing the results of your work with us, be sure to tag us on social media. PUT THE HOUSE WITH ADDITIONAL SET INTO THE BASKET. If you decide to buy only the house (without additional set), use materials that you have at home and breathe some Christmas atmosphere into it! Have fun! PUT THE HOUSE INTO THE BASKET.

ŚWIĄTECZNY DOMEK

Witajcie! W okresie świątecznym możecie kupić go z dodatkowym  mini zestawem "niespodzianką", który pomoże Wam zrealizować poniższy projekt. Użyj kolorowych papierów, aby nadać koloru ścianom i podłogom w Twoim domku. Sami zobaczcie! Użyliśmy dwóch papierowych słomek i przykleiliśmy klejem "na gorąco" mini bombeczki, tworząc urocze świąteczne słupki. Niezastąpionym elementem świątecznego domku, będą oczywiście świąteczne lampki, polecamy subtelne led'y na  druciku. Użyjemy też rolek po sznurkach do zrobienia "pamperków". Matowe  tasiemki i drewniane koraliki - zawsze mile widziane! Voila! WRZUĆ DOMEK Z  DODATKOWYM ZESTAWEM DO KOSZYKA. TRAVELER’S WATCH

Hi! It's nice that you are there! In this article, you will find an idea for a workshop inspired by the traveler kit from the DIY costume collection. It includes: a hat, compass, binoculars and a notebook, you can see it HERE. You can treat the following workshops as developing the costume with another element, or as completely independent activities. The topic of the workshop will be the clock! This is a good opportunity to learn to read time, but also a pretext for a deeper conversation about what time is, why is it so valuable? What does it mean well or badly used time? Why do adults often "don't have time"? P.s. From our own experience, we can tell you in advance that these workshops are also very useful for us, parents. Have fun and have a good time!

1. You will need rubber to make the band (of course, if necessary, you can change the material to paper, ribbon, etc.). The rubber will be perfect because it will guarantee easy and trouble-free taking off and putting on the watch on your wrist. Sew both ends of the gum, setting the appropriate length beforehand so that it is comfortable and does not put pressure on the wrist. It is a good opportunity to meet the needle and thread for the first time, if your children have not had the opportunity to try sewing before. Remember that sewing does not have to be perfect, in the end it will be covered by the watch.

2. When the band is ready, it's time to take care of the shield! You can use the Traveler packaging for this (nothing will be wasted! Bravo!). If you don't have a box, find another piece of cardboard or stiff paper. Draw a circle and cut it out (we used an espresso cup).

3. Time for the shield design, which is the most enjoyable part of the job! You will certainly need fineliners and markers, decorative adhesive tapes and colored papers. What if the watch was showing what we currently need (what is the time)? What if the watch told us to slow down instead of rush? What if you could move it freely back and forth? Or maybe it would always show the same time? Hmmm ... there must be some magical story behind this ... who knows?

Or maybe it's a great time to talk about what a day is and what does it mean that it has 24 hours? You know best how you want to use this time! Glue the finished shields to the bands. We used hot glue (one drop is enough).

Not wanting to take up any more of your time, we wish you a lot of fun! We will be grateful if you share the results of your work with us by tagging us on Instagram @koko_cardboards.

See you next time!

Udanej zabawy i dobrego czasu!
Odrysujcie koło i wytnijcie ( my wykorzystaliśmy kubeczek do espresso). 3. A gdyby można było go dowolnie przesuwać w tył i przód?  A może pokazywał by zawsze tą samą godzinę? Gotowe tarcze przyklejcie do opasek. My użyliśmy kleju na gorąco (wystarczy jedna kropla). WRZUĆ ZESTAW PODRÓŻNIKA DO KOSZYKA. Do następnego!

SURFING PENGUIN

Here is a short tutorial on how to transform a do-it-yourself penguin figure into a surfer, inspired by the character of Cody - the hero of one of our favorite movie "Surf's Up"! First of all, you need a figure that you can buy in our store HERE. Then, stick it according to the instructions included in the kit (the task is to stick all the layers together and it will take about 30 minutes). You can see the video instructions on YOU TUBE. Remember that the kit does not include glue, we recommend classic paper glue / bookbinding glue. When the figure is ready, prepare the necessary materials and utensils: pencil, scissors, glue, black acrylic paint, yellow / orange paper, white / cream paper, cardboard (from which to cut the shape of a surfboard).
  1. Paint the outer layer of the penguin (blue element) on both sides and let it dry.
2. Cut the shape of a surfboard out of the cardboard, then draw it twice on white or cream paper and stick it on both sides (alternatively, you can paint the board on both sides). 3. Glue the finished board to the penguin and guide its fin along it. From a small piece of paper that you used to glue the board, cut a small shell-shaped pendant and write the letter Z ("big Z" - Cody's idol) on it, as shown in the picture below. Glue the pendant on and draw a string with a pencil. 4. From orange or yellow paper, cut out two elements that resemble a triangle in shape, but are more "dynamic", make cuts along the top edge - the photos below will certainly help. Glue the finished elements to the penguin by gently bending the cut strips. 5. Paint the fin passing through the board and… it is done! Finally great news! On the occasion of Children's Day in Poland, each penguin ordered in our store will receive a FREE mini DIY kit containing black paint, a cardboard surfboard and cream and orange paper, all wrapped as a gift! The offer is valid until May 31, or while stocks last. ADD TO CART. We wish you a lot of fun! Be sure to share the results of your work with us by tagging us on Instagram @koko_cardboards. All the best!

SURF’ujący PINGWIN

Przed Wami krótki tutorial, jak przerobić figurkę "zrób to sam" - Pingwin w surf'era, inspirowanego postacią Cody'ego - bohatera jednej z naszych ulubionych bajek "Na fali"! Kiedy figurka będzie już gotowa, przygotuj potrzebne materiały i przybory: ołówek, nożyczki, klej, czarna farba akrylowa, żółty/pomarańczowy papier, biały/kremowy papier, tekturkę (z której należy wyciąć kształt deski surfingowej).
  1. Obustronnie pomaluj zewnętrzną warstwę pingwina (niebieski element) i pozostaw do wyschnięcia.
Wisiorek przyklej i narysuj ołówkiem sznurek. 4. Gotowe elementy przyklej do pingwina, delikatnie odginając nacięte paski. 5. Pomaluj płetwę przechodzącą przez deskę i... gotowe! WRZUĆ PINGWINA DO KOSZYKA. Do następnego!

RAINBOW CORNER

We would like to  invite you to the article that will show you how, with a small budget, you can create a truly rainbow scenery! Here is our DIY rainbow corner! To achieve a rainbow effect, it is enough to follow one rule in force ... in a rainbow corner we only use six colors of the rainbow (red - blue - green - orange - yellow and red), and their lighter and darker shades. Of course, we also allow black and white. As the main element of our decoration, we chose the classic "do it yourself" rainbow from the KOKO CARDBOARDS collection. Making a rainbow takes about 90-120 minutes (we suggest spreading the work into 2-3 sessions), it is a task that can be easily handled by a child from 7-8 years of age. Making a rainbow is not difficult, but it is very schematic, so we especially recommend this activity to children who will need some work on concentration and patience, but also as a form of relaxation and tranquility. You can buy the rainbow HERE. We also recommend a short VIDEO that presents the process of creating the rainbow. The second element that we will use in our corner will be felt balls, from which we will make a garland by threading them on a thread. Felt balls can be found in stationary and online stores: haberdashery and creative. Then we thread a string of colorful wooden beads. Remember we follow one rule… we only use the six colors of the rainbow! This opens up a great opportunity for us to place absolutely anything that meets the color criterion in our rainbow space. What does this mean in practice? That if you equip yourself with paints (we recommend RENESANS acrylic paints, available in any art shop), you can paint literally everything you want! Also objects that the earth gave us, and which will cost you absolutely nothing: stones, sticks, shells, dried leaves etc. Our warehouse is full of cardboard treasures, so we decided to use them in our arrangement. It was enough to paint them! A yarn is always a good idea for a simple and inexpensive decoration. I chose wool in the colors of our rainbow tassels and duplicated this motif by attaching a mini garland to the shelf. You can also make cute pompoms from wool! I also decided that the perfect finish for our rainbow corner would be a garland with the inscription LOVE, which you can find in our store HERE. Also, remember to stick to the color scheme for utility items in the corner. It's that simple and it has a really cute effect! See how great the art supplies and books, arranged in color, look great. AND HERE IS THE FINAL EFFECT! You may have noticed that another additional element has appeared in our arrangement: a hat! It comes from the TRAVALER costume from the KOKO CARDBOARDS collection, you can buy it HERE. We painted the hat with paint and added two decorative bead chains! It turned out beautifully! We wish you a lot of fun! Share the results of your work with us by tagging us on Instagram @koko_cardboards. Remember also that the principle of observing the color palette always works great and can be used in any colors you are interested in. If, for example, you dream of a blue corner, stick to the full monochrome palette of this color from delicate blue to deep navy blue, and the end result always will be successful! See you next time!

Dobrałam wełnę w kolorach chwostów naszej tęczy i powieliłam ten motyw przyczepiając mini girlandę do półki. A OTO EFEKT KOŃCOWY! Pochodzi on z kostiumu PODRÓŻNIKA. Kapelusz pomalowałyśmy farbą i dodałyśmy dwa ozdobne łańcuszki z koralików! WRZUĆ TĘCZĘ CLASSIC DO KOSZYKA.  Do następnego!

EASTER BUNNY

Easter is coming and with it the time of the first spring decorations, painting Easter eggs, planting watercress, and home baking. On this occasion, we have prepared some inspiration for you on how to creatively organize your family time.  In the beginning, we would like to show you the next installment of the mask remake, this applies to both the unicorn and the t-rex (as you can see their potential is really huge). If you don't have any of our masks yet, you can reverse the process and make a bunny first, then remake it to the original version. 1. Clean the mask from the ears, eyes, mane, horn, lower jaw - in short, all additional elements specific to your model. Ultimately, we strive for the cleanest possible base of the mask. Don't worry if there are traces of removed elements. Ultimately, they will be less visible. 2. Prepare a brush and paint. If you can, use acrylic paint, do not use water. The paint must be thick and opaque. The less you use when painting water, the better. If necessary, apply two layers. 3. When the mask is dry, we will change its mouth a bit. Sketch it on the front of the mask and then cut it out. If you are making a bunny on a new product and plan to convert it to an original unicorn or t-rex afterward, you will have to undo this move. We suggest cutting out such an element from the packaging box after the product, and then stick it to the front to "mask" the hare's face. 4. Time for the ears. To make them, you will need cardboard. If possible, use the packaging after our product. Draw them yourself, or use a file that will allow you to print our template for drawing on your home printer. You need 4 pieces, two for each ear. Important note! Extend the ears from the bottom by about 3 cm - the A4 format did not allow us to make them longer. DOWNLOAD THE FILE 5. Glue two layers of each ear together, leaving it unclipped about 2-3 cm from the bottom - you have to fold the non-glued areas outwards so that you can place the ears on the mask. 6. When the ears are ready, paint them on both sides and stick them to the mask. 7. Your ears are already attached to the mask, but they are very likely to fall back - to keep them in an upright position, you can use a string to tie them to the front of the mask. Puncture the hole with a thick needle, thread the string and tie it. 8. Now we will make the eyes and blushes. Cut one circle 8 cm in diameter, cut it in half, and then cut out the eyes of each semicircle as you see in the photo. Also, cut two circles with a diameter of 4 cm. Glue eyes and blushes on the mask. You can use blushes to cover the bottom hole of the jaw screw. 9. Attach the toe on the front, preferably make it from two layers: cardboard + colored paper, so that it is stiff. Finished! Your Easter bunny is surely really lovely ... … But we thought it would be nice to add some more decorations! We opted for fresh plants and pompoms, but of course the possibilities are endless! Give your bunnies a fantastic look! Good luck! p.s. To attach additional decorations to the mask, use wires and strings and attach the elements to the mask. We hope you enjoy this Easter tutorial. WIELKANOCNY ZAJĄC

Do dzieła!

POBIERZ PLIK DO DRUKU

5. Sklej ze sobą dwie warstwy każdego ucha, pozostawiając niesklejone około 2-3 cm od dołu -  musicie odgiąć niesklejone obszary do zewnątrz, tak aby móc dzięki nim osadzić uszy na masce.

Nakłucie grubą igłą dziurki, przeciągnijcie sznureczek i zwiążcie.

8. Teraz wykonamy oczy i rumieńce.

Powodzenia!

p.s. Aby doczepiać dodatkowe dekoracje do maski używacie drucików oraz sznurków i przywiązujcie elementy do maski.

Mamy nadzieję, że ten wielkanocny tutorial przypadnie Wam do gustu. Jeżeli macie ochotę podzielcie się z nami efektami swojej pracy tagując nas: koko_cardboards.

PIMP MY UNICORN

When you get bored with the ecological version of the unicorn mask and decide that it could use some color ... we suggest our colorful metamorphosis! Below is a step-by-step instruction on how to give your unicorn a new expression! Have fun!
  1. Unscrew the headband and lower jaw, then remove the entire mane.
2. Prepare a brush and paint. If you can use acrylic paint, do not use water. The paint must be thick and opaque. The less water you use, the better. We mixed the two colors to get a shade of flesh pink. If necessary, apply two layers. * IMPORTANT TIP If you are painting the mask from the very beginning (when assembling the mask for the first time), do it immediately after gluing the main element. Under no circumstances should you paint the cardboard before gluing it into a lump (this will cause the material to bend). 3. Paint the lower jaw and then screw it and the headband back with the head mask. 4. We have to take care of the magic unicorn horn. If you want to do it with the simplest method, use paint of a different color and paint it. We chose shiny, striped paper to wrap the horn around. We stick the paper with glue. 5. From the same or different paper, cut out a circle with a diameter of 8 cm (then cut them in half), and two circles with a diameter of 4 cm. Cut out the eyes from the semicircle (the same as in the instructions for making the unicorn). Stick your eyes and cheeks onto the mask. You can paint them in a simplified version. 6. Prepare the wool, it can be of one color or you can mix any number of colors. If you do not have wool, use other materials, such as: strings, ribbons, crepe, etc. - the most important thing is that you can prepare relatively long strips from which you will make a putty, and then ... braids! 7. Finally, you need two braids: longer and shorter. 8. Prepare a needle and a piece of string or wool from which you make braids. Make two holes between the ears and thread it through the holes so that you can tie a longer braid to the mask. 9. Attach the shorter braid in the same way with the unsightly paper mane marks on the side. 10. Connect both braids with shorter lengths of wool so that they form one. 11. In a few other places you can additionally tie the braids to the mask, using the method from point 8. Thanks to this, the wool will stick well to the mask, won't "fly", and will certainly keep in good condition longer. 12. To make the front, shorter part of the mane, make four wool tassels, just like we make them with our do-it-yourself rainbow - see video. Attach the knots to the bonnet using the same method as the braids (see step 8). WELL DONE! IT'S READY! We hope you found this simple tutorial helpful.
